I had the privilege of giving a seminar at the Central Regional Coast Guard Headquarters on the geomorphological variability of tidal flats along Korea’s west coast on May 19, 2025. It was a truly meaningful experience — I had the chance to share, in front of the Commissioner and many senior officers, why understanding tidal-flat geomorphology is so important for preventing safety accidents in these dynamic coastal environments.

The seminar made me realize that my research on tidal flats can have a real, life-saving impact, which means a great deal to me. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who invited me, listened so attentively, and engaged with such enthusiasm throughout the nearly two-hour session. Thank you all for your warm interest and support.
